Blotter: Mound Police Investigate Sign Thefts, Missing $15k Ring

A selection of notable incidents reported to the Mound Police Department between March 21 and March 30.

A 19-year-old was arrested on the 5300 block of Shoreline Drive March 30 for underage consumption of alcohol.

Mound police arrested 53-year-old Mound man on the 3000 block of Brighton Boulevard March 30 on an outstanding Hennepin County warrant for driving after revocation.

Police responded March 29 to a report of property damage on the 2200 block of Commerce Boulevard. 

A ring valued at more than $15,000 was reported stolen March 27 from a location on the 4900 block of Edgewater Drive. The investigation remains ongoing.

A snowboard and bicycle, valued at approximately $600, were reported stolen from the 5200 block of Piper Road on March 26. 

A "House For Rent" sign valued at $50 was reported stolen from the 1700 block of Commerce Boulevard March 25.

A 24-year-old Mound man was arrested just after 1 a.m. March 25 and charged with fourth-degree DWI. The arrest occurred on the 2500 block of Commerce Boulevard. Test results are pending. 

Four 20-year-olds and one one juvenille were arrested for underage consumption of alcohol on March 24. The arrests occurred just after 9 p.m. on the 4800 block of Wilshire Boulevard.

"For Rent" signs were reported stolen on the 1700 block of Commerce Boulevard on March 24.

An 18-year-old Mound man was arrested just after 2 a.m. on the 2000 block of Waterside Lane March 24 for possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle. Two juveniles were also cited for curfew violation; one was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Eggs were reported thrown at vehicles, signs and mailboxes on the 5800 block of Sunset Road on March 24. 

A burglary was reported March 22 on the 2100 block of Basswood Lane. Police say someone entered the home and took clothing worth an estimated $125. The investigation is ongoing.

Police responded to the 4700 block of Wilshire Boulevard on March 21 after theft reports were received of stolen house rental signs. Value of the signs is approximately $200.
