Blotter: Mound Police Investigate Jewel Theft, Cite Underage Drinkers

A selection of notable incidents reported to the Mound Police Department since March 5.

An accident resulting in property damage was reported just before 4 p.m. March 19 on the 4800 block of Bartlett Avenue. 

Police received a March 17 report that a vulnerable adult had been financially exploited and responded to a location on the 2400 block of Commerce Boulevard. Investigation into the incident continues.

A skateboard valued at $200 was reported stolen just after 9:30 p.m. on March 17 from a location on the 5300 block of Maywood Road.

A 19-year-old female was charged with underage consumption of alcohol March 17 after police cited her just after 2 a.m. on the 5300 block of Shoreline Drive.

A 47-year-old Mound man was arrested March 16 on an outstanding warrant out of McLeod County for failing to appear in court on dishonest check charges. The arrest took place on the 2400 block of Wilshire Boulevard.

Jewels valued at approximately $1,000 were reported stolen March 15 from a location on the 2100 block of Belmont Lane. No additional information is available.

A 25-year-old Minnetrista man was charged March 12 with shoplifting $7 worth of food from a location on the 2100 block of Commerce Boulevard. A juvenile was cited with shoplifting $10 worth of merchandise as well.

A 53-year-old Mound man was arrested March 11 and charged with domestic assault and interfering with a 9-1-1 call. The arrest occurred just before 3 p.m. on the 4900 block of Crestview Lane.

Police responded to a motor vehicle accident resulting in property damage March 10 on the 6200 block of Bartlett Boulevard.

Two males were charged with underage consumption of alcohol March 10. Police cited the parties on the 2300 block of Westedge Boulevard.

Police received and responded to a harassment complaint March 8 on the 1600 block of Finch Lane. 

A bicycle valued at approximately $100 was reported stolen from the 2100 block of Sandy Lane on March 7.

A 35-year-old Mound man was arrested during the early morning hours of March 7 and charged with fifth-degree domestic assault. The arrest took place on the 2300 block of Fairview Lane.

A 19-year-old female from Mound was cited for possessing a small amount of marijuana in a motor vehicle following a March 6 traffic stop on Bartlett Boulevard.

A rug valued at $100 was reported stolen March 5 from a location on the 4300 block of Wilshire Boulevard.
