Dan Haugen Good for Wayzata Schools

I have known Dan Haugen since 2002. Over the last 11 years Dan and I have worked together in several settings. Dan is one of the most passionate and inspired leaders I know. His dedication to helping individuals and organizations improve themselves stands out to those who know him. He is committed to excellence and his drive to achieve it inspires co-workers, peers, and members of the general public.

During the time I have known Dan he has shared and demonstrated a tremendous passion for education. In his roles as a Professor, Academic Dean, Nonprofit Executive Director and most importantly a parent, Dan is driven by his belief that academic systems can deliver life changing experiences for students of all ages, ethnicities, and talents.

Dan’s belief in the possibility of education is clear to everyone he talks with. I have been extremely impressed with the positive impact Dan has had in his time at the Adler Graduate School. His hard work and endless energy have resulted in significant positive growth for students, faculty, and the community organizations Adler students go on to serve.

I believe Dan’s extensive experience working directly in and partnering with educational organizations makes him an ideal school board member. Dan’s intelligence, professional, and personal experience will make a positive difference on the Wayzata School board, the District staff and most importantly the students and their families.
