Obituary: Sheila M. (Dynan) Doyle

Mass of Christian burial will take place for Wayzata business owner Tuesday, July 31.

Sheila M. (Dynan) Doyle, born March 1, 1940, passed away July 26, 2012.

After a long 13.5 years, Sheila was joyfully reunited with the love of her life, Jerry. She was met with open arms by her parents Michael and Pearl Dynan and her sister, Mary Ellen Herbst.

Sheila was born in Silver Creek, MN. She grew up in Wayzata and graduated from . She married Jerry on July 8, 1961, relishing in her new life as a "Navy wife." It was a life that took her from Minneapolis to Walnut Grove, PA, back to Minneapolis and then to Selfrige ANG Base, MI. She and Jerry returned to Minnesota for good in 1977, settling down to raise their family in Maple Plain, MN.

She moved to Plymouth in 2001.

Sheila worked at her family's business and became a part owner in 1997. Sheila was a wonderful, kind, giving wife, mother, friend and "Mimi." She was happiest when she was spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends. She enjoyed laughing, and she had a great laugh, telling her amazing stories and listening to "good" Jazz.

She will be greatly missed by those she left behind. Her children, sons, Sean, Patrick (Hedda) Doyle and daughter, Courtney (Greg) Birch and those she considered the most precious things in her life, in her eyes, more precious than money, gold or a rare jewel. Her grandchildren, Flannery, Sophia, Keegan, Ainsley Birch, Sawyer and Alyra Doyle.

She is also survived by her brothers, John, Pat and Kevin Dynan and sisters, Marjorie Watts, Michaela Masser, Toni Moore and Moureen Murphy. Sheila is also survived by numerous nieces and nephew, in-laws and best friends, Clyde and Claudia Lindbeck.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place Tuesday, July 31, at 11 a.m. at The Church of St. Anne, 200 Hamel Road in Hamel.

Visitation was Monday, July 30, from 5-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at , 1220 East Wayzata Blvd, Wayzata and one hour prior to the Mass at church on Tuesday.

Interment St. Anne Cemetery.

It has been an honor and a privilege to have been able to call her "Mom."
