Obituary: Muriel L. (Luckow) Anderson

Visitation scheduled for Wednesday, June 6, from 4-8 p.m. at David Lee Funeral Home in Wayzata.

Muriel L. (Luckow) Anderson, 86 of Buffalo and formerly of Wayzata, has passed away.

Peacefully born into eternal life on June 1, 1926, Muriel was a wonderful and caring wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She graduated from Mahnomen High School and then went to Air Traffic Controller School in the Twin Cities.

Instead of relocating out of state, she accepted a position as an executive secretary at Honeywell for many years before changing careers to be a full-time mother. She and husband Ray were married on December 22, 1950 while Ray was on leave from the Korean War.

Preceded in death by parents, Emil and Ida Luckow, granddaughter, Meghan Brickley, sister, Lucille, brothers, Norman, Clarence, Walter and Ernest Luckow. Survived by husband, Rayburn; sons, Gary (Nancy) Anderson, Mark (Sandy) Anderson; and daughters, Linda Arens, Kay Anderson, Jacalyn Andersen, Diane (Mike) Brickley, and Donna (Kevin) Koecher; 20 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley (Alden) Hirsch; brothers, Robert Luckow, Rodger (Bev) Luckow, John (Cheryl) Luckow; sister- in-law, Mary Ellen Luckow.

Funeral scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, June 7, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2060 6th Avenue North, Long Lake.

Visitation scheduled for Wednesday, June 6, from 4-8 p.m. at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 East Wayzata Blvd, and one hour before the funeral on Thursday at church.

Interment Fort Snelling Cemetery.
