Fairy Gardens and a Whole Lot More!

One of the gardens on this 7th annual Master Gardener Learning Garden Tour includes several different types of gardens. This exciting yard, located on 46th Avenue South, features edible landscaping, raised beds, and containers. Be sure to check out the fairy gardens! Bring the kiddies!

There are hostas and dwarf conifers and a fantastic table-top hydroponic system. Built out of cedar, this master gardener grows kale, lettuces, and bok choi without having to weed or worry about rabbit and other critters.

Visit the other gardens on 38th Avenue South, Yale Avenue SE, and Cecil Street, SE, which includes an adjoining yard owned and maintained by the master gardener. Some of the educational stations and points of interest include composting, introduction to veggie growing, shade gardening, and how to attract pollinators with perennials. Bring your questions. Master gardeners will be at all of the 8 gardens and community garden to answer your questions.
