Memorial Poppy Month

You'll see Memorial Poppies not only at the Legion, but also all around town this month. For over 70 years, the American Legion Auxiliary has sponsored Memorial Poppies in order to remind Americans that millions have sacrificed their lives and health to keep our nation strong and free. Poppies are made by hospitalized veterans who earn a few cents for each poppy they make. This enables them to supplement their income and fell more self-sufficient. All donations received from poppy distribution are used exclusively to assist and support veterans and their famililes.  Please join the American Legion in recognizing the sacrifice of our veterans by wearing a popy on Memorial Day weekend!
