Where You Can Safely Dispose of Household Hazardous Waste

List of household hazardous waste collection events this summer, including one in Shorewood next month.

Hennepin County conducts community collection events throughout the year for residents to safely and properly dispose of unwanted garden and household hazardous wastes. The county accepts many hazardous wastes including household, lawn and garden products, items containing mercury, electronics and auto and fuel waste.

Items are accepted from households only. Business waste is not accepted. 

Upcoming collection events will be held Thursday through Saturday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on the following dates:

Minneapolis: August 16 – 18

Hennepin County provides residents with permanent drop-off facilities open year-round at 1400 W. 96th St., Bloomington, and 8100 Jefferson Highway, Brooklyn Park
