A Wayzata resident was among those shot during yesterday’s workplace shooting in Minneapolis.
John Souter was director of operations at Accent Signage Systems and was upgraded from critical to serious condition early Friday afternoon. He is recovering from his injuries at Hennepin County Medical Center.
Souter’s Facebook page lists Wayzata as his city of residence, although his exact address cannot be confirmed at this time. Souter has worked for Accent Signage since 2005.
Souter was one of seven people shot Thursday afternoon by a man who apparently had just lost his job. The gunman, who has not been identified, took his own life.
The founder of Accent Signage, a St. Louis Park resident, was one of four people killed.
Accent Signage is a supplier of semiconductors and metering technologies for the Smart Grid industry.
