Today: Join Excelsior Brewing Company for Oktoberfest
Don't miss your chance to eat, drink and be merry today, as well as be part of the debut of Excelsior Oktoberfest Märzen!
The Excelsior Brewing Company will host its inaugural Oktoberfest celebration today.
"We are planning on having a full house most of the day, even if the weather goes south on us," Ben Flattum said, adding the 40x80 tent is closed on three sides.
Excelsior Brewing Company's Big Island Blond, XLCR Pale Ale and Bitteschlappe will be on tap as usual, and today will be the debut of Excelsior Oktoberfest as well—a Marzen-style lager.

"It will probably only be around for the weekend and early next week," Flattum said.
About 200 beer boots will be for sale as well, and Flattum advised that it would be "better to arrive sooner rather than later if someone wants a boot."

Not Another Bar: New Brewery Finds a Home on Lake Minnetonka
Tim Mahoney, who will begin playing at 2 p.m., and "Thee Unholy 3" will provide the day's soundtrack. Guests will also have a chance to enjoy polka and German accordion playing between sets.
Maynard’s and Patisserie Margo will provide food for the celebration, and brats, homemade pretzels and other traditional Oktoberfest food will be available.
