Take a Glimpse at the Future of Wayzata's Lakefront

Open house and luncheon scheduled for next week in Wayzata to update community on first phase of redevelopment plan.

Members of the community will have a pair of opportunities next week to take a glimpse at the possible future of Wayzata's lakefront. 

After several months of gathering community input, Wayzata's Lake Effect Planning Initiative will host an , to present their findings and update the city council on progress.

The open house begins at 4 p.m. in the Community Room of Wayzata City Hall, with a short presentation from 5:30:6 p.m. Additional information can be found by clicking here.

A luncheon will also take place next week in Wayzata to update community leaders and members of the business community on the Lake Effect Planning Initiative. City Manager Heidi Nelson and Patrick Seeb, project leader, will describe the results of the first phase of the process, seek additional input and invite future participation.

The luncheon is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 16, from 12-1:30 p.m. at the Wayzata Country Club. Cost is $20 for Chamber of Commerce members, and $25 for non-members. Reservations are required.
