Police Searching for Man Who Assaulted Long Lake Woman this Morning

Assault occurred around 6 a.m.

Wayzata police responded to the report of an assault this morning in the 1800 block of May Street in Long Lake.  

A female resident reported she left her apartment shortly before 6 a.m. and walked into the parking lot. As she approached her car, a male appeared and grabbed her by the hair and pushed her to the ground. He then fled on foot without committing any further crime.  

The victim was not injured.

The male is described as approximately about six feet tall weighing 275 pounds. He was wearing a tan jacket with a dark hooded sweatshirt underneath.

Anyone with information that might be helpful to this investigation is asked to contact the Wayzata Police Department by calling 952-404-5340 or 9-1-1 after regular business hours.
