Lake Minnetonka

When: Saturday, July 30 at 9 a.m.

Why Go: Follow a fire truck around the 5k course, while celebrating community and good health.

Price: $30 on race day

 

When: Saturday, July 30 at 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why Go: Tour six private gardens, each hiding a secret gnome. On this self-guided tour, find the gnomes, who will reveal magical clues and help support the numerous orphans in Russia.

Price: $35 on the day of the tour; one child under 12 is admitted free with the purchase of an adult ticket

 

22nd Annual Polo Classic

When: Sunday, July 31. Gates open at 11 a.m., game starts at 2 p.m.

Where: Twin City Polo Club, 6755 Turner Road(Click here to read the preview posted on Patch earlier this week)

Why Go: Polo players from as far away as Costa Rica will compete in what organizers say is the longest, continuously running charitable event in Minnesota. 

Price: Tickets required.

 

Hopkins

When: Friday, July 29 at 7:30 p.m.

Where: 

Why Go: Learn all about the life of Shakespeare from the very man himself.

Price: $14

 

Minnetonka

When: Saturday, July 30 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Why Go: See if your dog has what it takes for the September fall and winter fashion show, Doggies on the Runway.
