PHOTOS: Jake O' Connor's Luck O' the Lake Fun Run

Pete Miller of Shorewood won Saturday's inaugural Jake O' Connor's Luck O' the Lake Fun Run. He completed the 5k course in about 17 minutes and said it was neat to be part of what he hopes will be a new community tradition.

"It was a nice course, just a little icy," Miller said, referring to Friday's delivery of fresh snow and ice.

Miller, whose sons were waiting for him at the finish line, works as the National Running Project Manager for Lifetime Fitness and said he regularly runs in the Shorewood and Excelsior areas.

The course began at the Excelsior Brewery, wound through downtown Excelsior, around the east side of Excelsior Bay and finished on Water Street.
