Not Over Yet: March Snowstorm Will Dump Up to Six Inches Overnight

Monday morning commute will be slowed significantly thanks to a powerful winter storm expected to move through the area Sunday night.

The National Weather Service anticipates upwards of six inches of snow to fall on the Lake Minnetonka and Plymouth areas Sunday night into Monday morning.

The storm will drive a powerful cold front through Minnesota by Monday afternoon, and the National Weather Service anticipates wind gusts up to 50 mph. The winds will blow the new snow around during Monday morning's commute, potentially creating near white out conditions—particularly south of I-94 and west of I-35.
