Neighbors Meet Neighbors at Community Picnic

Dozens of local residents gathered at the Depot in downtown Wayzata Tuesday evening for a community picnic sponsored by the Wayzata Crime Prevention Coalition.

Highlights included members of the Lake Minnetonka Emergency Response Unit (ERU) showing off some of their weaponry and a K-9 unit a demonstration. Check out the attached video.

The Wayzata Fire Department showcased its water unit, and McGruff the Crime Dog shook hands with kids and took photos.

All in attendance gobbled up free hot dogs and root beer floats, and local Cub Scouts presented and retired the colors.
