This Wednesday evening the Long Lake Rowing Club is hosting a lecture by U.S. National Rowing Team coach Guenter Beutter at the Long Lake Rowing Club/Gear West winter training center.

The lecture is on athletic training according to heart-rate zones—the way all serious endurance athletes train—and is open to everyone.

Guenter is a world renown specialist in this field and will offer this free lecture at 7: 15 p.m. He will also be conducting lactic acid testing on Thursday. Lactic acid testing is the most accurate method for determining anaerobic threshold (AT) and therefrom the heart rate zone within which to train most efficiently and effectively.
