Pair of sessions scheduled for this Thursday and Friday at Baker Park Preserve just north of Lake Minnetonka. Reservations are required.

Area residents are being invited to discover the unique world of horses this week at the Three Rivers Park District's Equine Center.

This is the first time Three Rivers Park District will be offering the "Horsing Around" program, which runs from 9:30 a.m. until noon this Thursday, June 14, or Friday, June 15, at Baker Park Reserve just north of Lake Minnetonka.

This program consists of instruction on the level of safety required while being around horses, how horses and humans interact, herd behavior and horse management. Participants will be given a tour of the Three Rivers Park District Public Safety Equine Center, meet and greet with the horses, learn how to properly groom a horse and take a short ride on a staff-led horse in one of our arenas.
