Lake Minnetonka Represented at University of Kansas Commencement

Four students from Lake Minnetonka communities received degrees over the weekend.

Four Lake Minnetonka students were among the more than 4,800 candidates for degrees at the University of Kansas' spring commencement ceremony over the weekend. The Class of 2012 represents 94 Kansas counties, 45 other states and 47 other countries  and includes more than 1,600 students who completed degree work in summer and fall 2011.

Area students  receiving degrees are as follows:

  • Joanna Ferm, of , received a Bachelor of Arts in Speech-Language-Hearing and Business minor.
  • William Fink, of Tonka Bay, received a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Communication Studies minor.
  • Megan Larson, of Wayzata, received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies.
  • Christopher Matson, of Mound, received a Bachelor of Science in Journalism.
