How You Can Be There for the Unveiling and Naming of a New Rose

Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is located just minutes away on Hwy. 5 in Chaska and is currently in full spring bloom.

In honor of National Public Gardens Day, the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum will unveil a new rose that was developed by the University of Minnesota.

In addition to Friday's rose unveiling, the Arboretum will also announce the local winner and the winning name of the rose-naming competition. Visitors will receive free admission all day, and families will be encouraged to participate in a variety of fun-filled Arboretum activities.

Now in its fourth year, National Public Gardens Day celebrates the vital role public gardens play in promoting environmental stewardship and awareness, plant and water conservation, and education. More than 500 North American public gardens are participating in this special day, which was initiated by the American Public Gardens Association in partnership with official sponsor Rain Bird irrigation products.
