How Will Summer Road Construction Affect You?

State's construction plans are in addition to local improvements planned by municipalities.

Minnesota’s Department of Transportation (MnDOT) announced its list of summer construction projects Thursday morning, and it includes planned upgrades to several Lake Minnetonka area roadways.

Beginning in June, crews will clean, repair and update underground pipes near the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) line in Orono. Work is scheduled to run through December and require some shoulder closings. Cost of the project is just over $285,000.

Centerline rumble strips will be installed on Hwy. 12 from County Road 6 to Wayzata Boulevard in Long Lake. Signs and striping will also be updated. Total cost of the project is $250,000, and one full weekend of closure is expected sometime in June or July. Patch will have updates as they become available.
