Gear Up for Spring & Arboretum's Bud Break 5K Run/Walk

Pre-registration recommended as the event usually sells out.

There still may be snow on the ground, but spring is in the air!  With the weather warming up, jogging paths are finally clearing.  It's time to lace up the running shoes, hit the asphalt and get ready for the 2013 Bud Break 5K Run/Walk at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum!

This popular run - set for Sunday, May 5 - is probably the most scenic in the greater metro area, winding through the Arboretum's woods, prairies and blooming crabapples on popular Three-Mile Drive, a certified 5K asphalt course. Participants will also enjoy views of the new sculpture collection at High Point.  Add in a few challenging hills and things really get interesting!

Here are the details:  Bud Break registration is $20 Arb members/ $25 non-members through April 30; then $30 for members and non-members May 1-3; and $35 for race-day registration.  Register online at www.arboretum.umn.edu/budbreak.aspx .  Fee covers Arboretum gate admission and includes a specially designed T-shirt.
