Jameson Johnson, a student at the University of San Diego, was selected for Mortar Board—a national honor society recognizing students for outstanding achievement in scholarship, leadership and service.

Johnson is from Mound and an economics major and real estate minor, with an emphasis in commercial real estate. Johnson expects to graduate in 2013. He graduated from Mound Westonka High School in 2008. He plans to open his own commercial real estate business.

Emily Ferguson, a member of the class of 2014 at Skidmore College, earned term honors for the spring semester. She is the daughter of Merrill Ferguson and Shauna Barry-Ferguson of Greenwood.

Term honors are awarded for a quality point ratio of 3.650 from a possible 4.0, for students who have completed 14 credit hours.

Alison R. Reader, a member of the Class of 2012 at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, was named to the dean's list for her outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2011-12 year. Reader is the daughter of Martin and Susan Reader of Wayzata and attended Hotchkiss School.

Sean Michael Sayler of Long Lake has been named to the dean's list at Clemson University for the spring 2012 semester.

Sayler is majoring in marketing.

Brian Engelsma of Long Lake graduated Magna Cum Laudeum Laude from Gettysburg College last month.

Engelsma majored in philosophy and political science.

Jenna Gehl, of Medina has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2012 semester at Concordia University in St. Paul. Gehl is a senior majoring in math, secondary education.

Mya S. Magney of Excelsior has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2012 semester at the University of Vermont. Magney is a junior exercise and movement sciences major in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

Andrew Gac of Shorewood graduated from the University of San Diego last month. Gac earned a bachelor's degree in English.
