Excelsior Woman Arrested for Threatening to Kill Boyfriend and His Dog

Police arrested Colleen Alberti last week after being called by her boyfriend to their apartment on Lake Street.

A 57-year-old Excelsior woman is facing a felony-level terroristic threat charge for allegedly threatening to kill her boyfriend and his dog with a kitchen knife.

Police responded to the apartment Colleen Alberti shares with her boyfriend on the 300 block of Lake Street just after 11:30 p.m. Jan. 24, according to the criminal criminal complaint against Alberti—signed by South Lake Minnetonka Police Department Sgt. Stephen Neururer. Alberti’s boyfriend told arriving officers that the couple had been arguing on and off throughout the day and he called police after Alberti threatened to kill him, his dog and cut his tires while holding a large kitchen knife.

Alberti had made a similar threat earlier in the day, according to the complaint, and the boyfriend told police he both feared for his safety and believed Alberti was capable of carrying through with the threats.
