Weekend Patch Pick: Family-Friendly Halloween at a Spooky Farm

Gale Woods Farm in Minnetrista will host a family-friendly Halloween evening on the farm this Saturday from 5-9:30 p.m.

Putting the Farm to Bed
The harvest is done, the baby animals are all grown up, the compost is spread, the gardens are mulched and darkness is rapidly increasing. It’ll soon be the farmer’s time to read, rest and rejuvenate. For now though it’s time to figure out which ewes will be bred and which rams will get to be the fathers.

Time to move the cattle to the winter pasture for access to year-round water. Time to start feeding the hay that stored up the sun’s energy on those hot summer days. For every season, turn, turn, turn. Enjoy the turn of your season and come join us for some warm learning in the kitchen or fiber arts studio.
