Details: Southshore Center Hosts Spring Watercolor Class With Renown Artist

Watercolor class with artist Georgia Kandiko will give painters of all skill levels a chance to learn and practice techniques.

Have you ever heard, “Watercolor is too hard?”

It is not.

If you want to give this magical medium a try, you’ll learn how to control the paint and have expressive fun. Artist Georgia Kandiko is an award-winning member of Artists of Minnesota and renown for her beautiful work in Edina, Minnetonka Center for the Arts and Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.

Beginning Watercolor

  • 1-3:30 p.m.; $139 plus $20 optional supply fee
  • Wednesdays, May 15-June 19

Paint, paper, brushes and palette are provided. Technique demonstrations include wet-into-wet, glazing, graded wash and dry brush application. Option to purchase supplies upon registration.

Continuing Watercolor

  • 9:30 a.m.-noon; $139 plus $20 optional supply fee
  • Wednesdays, May 15-June 19

Each week the instructor will present a different lesson demonstrating techniques and interesting watercolor effects. Bring your own supplies and paper, or order when registering.
