Current New York Times Best-Selling Author Signs in Wayzata

It was standing room only Monday night in Wayzata to hear author Matt Logelin speak and sign books.

Propelled by a blog now read and followed by tens of thousands around the world, Logelin’s book “Two Kisses for Maddy” is now in its fourth week on the New York Times best seller list.

Logelin has appeared on Oprah and has a movie deal in the works. His travel schedule has, especially of late, been virtually non-stop. His daughter Maddy goes with him frequently and herself has 70 round trip plane flights already.

A lengthy trip to China or India or both is being planned.

On Monday daddy and daughter spent well over an hour meeting and talking with fans. Logelin met a few long lost family members, and had several emotional exchanges. Like one with a teenage girl who lost her mother when she was young. Logelin tears up as he talks to her, and they exchange phone numbers and contact info.

Logelin graduated from St. John’s University in 2000. He recently had the opportunity to return to his alma matter and lecture.

“That was fun,” he said. “People forget sometimes that I’m a Johnnie."

A foundation set up in his wife’s name has to date distributed about 70 grants to single parents dealing with the loss of a partner. Logelin says virtually all that qualify have been financially assisted.
