City of Shorewood Seeks Public Input on Proposed Smithtown Crossing Project

Comments can be made through July via the city's website or via mail.

The Planning Commission has presented a redevelopment proposal to the city council that is available for community input. The plan covers the area at the intersection of Smithtown Road and County Road 19 in Shorewood, location of the former Tonka Bait, American Legion and adjacent properties.

To view the proposal, interested individuals may go to the city web site.

The proposal is on the home page of the web site as is a link for comments.

Comments on the proposal are accepted through July 31, and all comments are posted online within one business day of receipt. If you do not have access to a computer, you may view the proposal at city hall and submit a written comment.
