Calm After the Storm

No major damage reported as of Saturday morning.

A band of severe weather moved through the west Metro area Friday evening, bringing with it strong winds and a heavy downpour.

Tree limbs were reported throughout the Lake Minnetonka area, and several trees were toppled near Excelsior. 

By 9 p.m. skies had cleared, and a rainbow could be seen from the shores of Wayzata Bay.

Friday's severe weather should be the last batch of the holiday weekend. Forecasts call for clear skies and temperatures in the mid to upper 80s for Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
