Blotter: Mound Police Investigate Internet Fraud, Stolen Flute

The following is a notable selection of incidents reported to the Mound Police Department between Jan. 26 and Jan. 31. Blotter is not intended to be a comprehensive log of activity.

January 31

Police responded to the 4900 block of Glen Elyn Road after receiving reports of a car’s windows being shot out by a pellet gun. Damages are estimated at $1,000.

A resident reported a BB was shot through a glass entrance door on the 5600 block of Grandview Boulevard.

An Internet fraud report was received after a resident on Inverness Road reported sending $2,500 for a vehicle that was fraudulently advertised.

Police responded to the 3100 block of Argyle Lane after receiving a report of gasoline being siphoned from a vehicle.

A juvenile was arrested for domestic assault on the 2200 block of Millpond Lane.

January 30

A flute valued at $750 was reported stolen from a location on the 1800 block of Commerce Boulevard.

A resident on the 4800 block of Edgewater Drive called police to report a burglary after discovering an unlocked garage had been entered and two unlocked vehicles inside had been entered. Nothing was reported missing from either vehicle.

January 28

A 20-year-old Minnetrista man was arrested on the 1800 block of Commerce Boulevard and charged with possessing a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

An 18-year-old Mound man was charged with possessing drug paraphernalia following contact with police on the 2900 block of Meadow Lane. 

January 27

Police responded to the 1600 block of Commerce Boulevard after receiving a report of harassing e-mails and phone calls. 

January 26

A 34-year-old Mound woman was arrested on the 2100 block of Grandview Boulevard for domestic assault.

A construction trailer on the 4700 block of Hampton Road was vandalized with spray paint.

A property damage accident was reported on the 2100 block of Commerce Boulevard.

January 25

A 21-year-old Mound man was arrested on the 2600 block of Wilshire Boulevard on four misdemeanor warrants out of Hennepin County. He was also cited for underage consumption of alcohol.
