The Annual Cottagewood Community Foundation Member Party

The Annual Cottagewood Community Foundation Member Party was held at the home of Craig & Kristi Weinstock on Saturday, May 18.

The Annual Cottagewood Community Foundation Member Party was held at the home of Craig & Kristi Weinstock on Saturday, May 18.  CCF members enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres while David Sigel, CCF president, introduced the 2013 Board, welcomed new CCF members and thanked everyone for their past support and continued generosity.  David began by reminding those present that the Cottagewood Community Foundation was established 15 years ago which makes the CCF the entity that has held ownership of the Store for the longest period of time in its 118 year history. He praised store manager Laurie Jenkins and her staff for all the work they did to get ready for the season. CCF members were also updated on recent maintenance and improvements made to the Store.

During the evening, several CCF members stepped up to donate funds needed to replace the espresso machine that unfortunately refused to start up after the 6-month winter shut down. Others volunteered their time and talents for upcoming events including the Annual Cottagewood 4th of July Celebration.

Currently there are over 250 members of the Cottagewood Community Foundation.  Membership is open to everyone.  Members have the unique opportunity to own a small piece of Lake Minnetonka history.
