TODAY: Deadline to Enter Wayzata's Holiday Lighting Contest
The Wayzata Chamber is hoping to attract even more shoppers to the city this holiday season by fully showcasing the local business community's holiday spirit.
Wayzata businesses wishing to take part in the city's annual Holiday Lighting Contest have until today to register with the Wayzata Area Chamber of Commerce.
Whether it’s a window, building façade or brilliant light display, the Wayzata Chamber encourages local business owners to channel their talent and creativity into helping make Wayzata a holiday shopping destination.
Businesses wishing to participate in this year’s contest are asked to contact the Wayzata Chamber by either phone at (952) 473-9595 or via e-mail at bbeyer@wayzatachamber.com.

Timeline:
Nov. 14: Deadline to register.
Nov. 21: Completion of holiday lights and decorating on city property by city crew and business window decorations completed; Judging of window displays. Be sure to leave lights on until 8 p.m. Photos will be taken to be used on websites.
Nov. 24-27: Thanksgiving Weekend.
Nov. 25: Annual Holiday Open House at the Depot sponsored by the Wayzata Historical Society.
Dec. 6: Recognition of winners and all participants at Wayzata City Council meeting.
