Kickstarter Funds Wayzata High School Grad's Debut Independent Film

"How Do You Write a Joe Schermann Song" was completely funded by a Kickstarter campaign, and is being screened in several cities throughout the US. The soundtrack is currently available on iTunes.

There is a screening of an award-winning independent film at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April, 11, at the Southdale AMC theaters that has a strong local connection.

Joe Schermann, a 2003 graduate of Wayzata High School, not only stars in the film, but is also the composer/lyricist for this musical.

To blur the lines a bit, the title of the show is "How Do You Write a Joe Schermann Song," and Schermann plays the part of a starving musician living in New York City called "Joe Schermann."
