Learn to Cook With Farm-Fresh Pork this Weekend in Minnetrista

Gale Woods Farm hosts "Cooking with Pasture-Raised Pork" this Saturday.

Join chef Mary Jane Miller in the harvest kitchen on Saturday, Nov. 12, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Gale Woods Farm in Minnetrista for “Cooking with Pasture-Raised Pork.”

Guests will see how their food is raised and learn chef-style kitchen skills retooled for the home cook. Build a foundation of skills to use in preparing healthful and delicious meals from scratch and taste everything that's made while having a chance to ask plenty of questions during this informal, friendly class.

Come meet the pigs living on the pasture and learn how they fit into our diversified farming system. Discover how it differs from standard grocery-store pork and how to make the most of the differences. Guests will braise, grill, sauté and smoke their way through all the major cuts.
