Missy Higgens Comes to Maynard's Today for Oake on the Water

Australian singer Missy Higgins will be in today for the latest installment of Cities 97's Oake on the Water summer concert series.

Her new album, "The Ol’ Razzle Dazzle," drops in the U.S. next week. It has already hit shelves overseas and has received overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics and fans alike.

Higgins is set to launch a world tour in support of the album, and several dates have already sold out. She will play the Target Center in Minneapolis Aug. 26. The tour doesn't officially start until next week, with shows in New York and Los Angeles.

Oake on the Water is celebrating it 10th year of lakeside concerts. Host Brian Oake began the series on Lake Minnetonka and returns several times each summer to popular venues such as , and the —which combined will host nine shows this year.

"(Lake) Minnetonka is just a good fit," Oake  while spinning from the patio of the Bayside Grille. "Oake on the Water is about celebrating the summer lifestyle in Minnesota, which largely revolves around the water because there's so much of it, and Lake Minnetonka does it as well as anybody."
