The Wayzata Art Experience teamed up with several local landscapers and garden designers to create Outdoor Garden Art Exhibits throughout this year's event. These unique areas will feature outdoor art and great ideas for your own outdoor living.

Although this event reflects the elegance of the Lake Minnetonka community, the Wayzata Art Experience appeals to art lovers of all ages. Artists' demonstrations will allow guests to attempt their own craft, and youngsters can experience art by experimenting in the Children’s Area. All the while, performing artists will stroll through the crowds, giving visitors a variety of acoustical enjoyment.

New additions to this year’s Art Experience include the prestigious Outdoor Painters of Minnesota (OPM). Watch plein air artists in action as they create original pieces on Saturday, June 23. There will be an exhibit and sale both days.

Also, local guest artist, Steve Hemingway will be collaborating with landscape designer, Hans Frees (), to install an artistic landscape—another highlight to this year’s event that will include totems, eggs and artistic respect to the history of Lake Minnetonka. Natural elements of water, wood, earth, metal and fire will be integrated with signature raku-fired ceramic works that explore the mystical history of Wayzata's north Lake Minnetonka shore.

The Wayzata Art Experience is presented in partnership with the Greater Wayzata Area Chamber of Commerce and TCF Bank. Additional 2012 event sponsors include Envy Skin Clinic, Renewal by Anderson, Chiropractic USA, Life & Vitality Chiropractic, Venture Photography, American Laser Skincare, Coldwell Banker Burnet, , The Barre, Mediacom, Star Tribune and the Tonka Times.
