Wayzata Woofstock 2013 Promises a Dog-Gone Good Time

Woofstock is a Bone-a-Fit for Top Dog Foundation.

Wayzata Woofstock 2013 will be take place Saturday, June 22, from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Meridian Manor in Wayzata.  

The full day of events begins with registration, the pet parade and competitions at 10:30 a.m. and the pet contests at 11:30 a.m. Categories in the pet competitions include: best dressed, most unusual dog, biggest dog/smallest dog, prettiest/most handsome dog, best veteran (any dog seven years or older) and best rescue dog.  

Best of Show will be announced from the winners of each category.  

Pet Contests feature: best trick, best dancer, pet/owner look-a-like, best singer/howler and best tail wagging. Prizes and ribbons will be awarded in each category.  

Pet Blessings begin at 11:30 a.m., and pet games begin at 12:45 p.m. with the rubber ducky dunk, catch the treat, commands game, musical chairs and the dog treat relay.  

Taking place all day will be the Come, Sit Stay Café for both people and their dogs, a Doggie Spa, and Pet Communicator, Lena Swanson, who will let you know what your pet is really thinking about you!  

Wayzata Woofstock will also feature vendors covering everything from pet sitting and doggie chiropractic to pet photography
