Three Rivers Seeks Public Comments About Nine Mile Creek Trail's Master Plan

The Three Rivers Park District Board of Commissioners has approved the draft master plan for the Nine Mile Creek Regional Trail, and the public has an opportunity to review the plan and make comments about it.

The master plan has been developed for the 15-mile paved multi-use trail. When completed, the trail will follow the creek on public land in Hopkins, Minnetonka and Edina. It will continue east through Richfield and Bloomington, ultimately connecting to the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center in Bloomington and planned Minnesota Valley State Trail.

Portions of the trail are complete and open for use. A federal grant has been secured to build the trail between Edina High School and Southdale Mall areas in 2015-16.
