POLL: How Did You Enjoy Tuesday’s Warm Weather?

Temperatures have reached into the 50s during the fourth warmest winter in the Twin Cities.

Tuesday’s 50 degree temperatures melted snow and made it feel like an early spring. Gone went the winter coats, gloves, hats, and scarves—at least for one day. The forecast for Wednesday shows a high of 37 with a 30 percent chance of rain or snow.

According to the National Weather Service, this winter is the fourth warmest for the Twin Cities. The average temperature for December through February was 26.3 degrees. The warmest winter for the same months, with an average temperature of 29.0 degrees, occurred in 1877-1878.
