Friday: Lord Fletcher's Hosts Fifth Annual Armed Forces Fishing Celebration

Whether you are a kid who is obsessed with fishing, or has never caught a fish, you won't want to miss the Fifth Annual Armed Forces Family Fishing Celebration.

Lake Minnetonka will be the site of today’s Armed Forces Family Fishing Celebration. The event, now in its fifth year, is exclusively for youth and their families who have had a family member serve in the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, National Guard and Air Force—as well as for wounded warriors and veterans recently returned from deployment.

Lord Fletcher’s in Spring Park will serve as home base for the 2013 tournament.

Volunteer fishing guides will bring their boats to Lake Minnetonka and take participants out on the water for a morning of fishing. Bait and loaner equipment are provided for those who don’t have their own.
