Celebrating Independence Day With Festive Bikes and Neighbors

Photos of Wayzata's annual Fourth of July Bike Parade, which celebrated its 50th anniversary Monday morning.

It was all red, white and blue yesterday at Wayzata's annual Fourth of July bike parade.

Residents came dressed in their American best, from sequined hats to American-flag oxfords, and enjoyed a parade, cake, balloons, popsiclesand lemonade.

Kids came with their bicycles (or trucks or tricycles), which they decorated with streamers, paper, flags and other patriotic materials, and paraded with the spirit of tradition and determination that makes this country proud.
