Orono 11AA Baseball Team Wins Eden Prairie Tourney

Orono beat Wayzata in the championship game, earning a spot in the state baseball tournament.

The Orono 11AA baseball team came out on top at the Eden Prairie baseball tournament May 11-12. Orono beat Wayzata 6-3 in the final game. The tournament win qualifies the boys to play in the state baseball tournament in July.

The team celebrated their victory with a trip to Dairy Queen.

The fifth-graders are led by coach Jim Buck and assistant coaches John Anderson, Paul Tichy and Richard Jordan.
