My students are making donations to the United Way fund for the families as well. We have made snowflakes and think it is a wonderful idea. Please let me know where to mail the snowflakes. Hello my name is Susan Walden and I am the events coordinator at Anthropolgie in
Westport, CT. Some of our employees and many of our customers live in Newtown and this tragedy has touched us all deeply. We will be hosting a snowflake workshop in our store on Saturday, Dec 22 from noon - 3 so we can make a blizzard full of snowflakes to help this wonderful cause. Our community has been so sad all week. we are hoping this will help a little. Thanks for this great idea!!!

I saw this going around on Facebook and will make snowflakes until my fingers ache! I think this is so a neat idea. It shows people around the country that even the smallest effort (cutting a piece a paper into a snowflake) can help ease someone's pain. I can't wait to see a picture of all of the snowflakes!

Northwest Indiana is planning on having a community-wide snowflake making workshop on 1/5 in Crown Point. I hope these kids will be knee deep in paper snowflakes. You are in our prayers.

Hi I am the execuitve director of a local non profit Community Kids Inc (501 C3) We take kids out in the community and work on service projects. We had decided before Christmas to work on the snowflakes as a Community Kids project. Kids will be working in groups or on their own In supevised setting SSL (service hours) can be earned. We will be sending the paper snowflakes up to Connecticut PTSA together. I saw your article and thought local kids might have fun working with others and some may like earning the Service hours they need for their school. We have students from public and private schools in Montgomery, Howard, Baltimore, Fairfax, Arlington and Washington DC that participate in the variety of projects we offer.
