Bloom Portraits Cuts Ribbon on Wayzata Location

Lake Minnetonka native opens Bloom Portraits' first Minnesota location last week.

Colorado-based Bloom Portraits opened its first Minnesota studio last week.

Located on Barry Street in downtown Wayzata, Bloom provides a fresh look to children’s photography for an affordable price. The grand opening included a ribbon cutting with the Wayzata Chamber of Commerce and a piñata smash for the kids.

Mound native and Bloom owner, David Schmidt, received his Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts from the University of New Mexico. In 2005 he moved to Denver’s Highland neighborhood where he started 211 Photography.
